Learning Objectives and Assessment:
ILO1 : Understand different listening extracts (both audio and video) on real life situations linked to student life or on scientific, technical, professional topics/news items.
Ø Assessment: listening exam (graded)
ILO2: Reformulate the specific ideas of an audio/video extract either orally or in writing while demonstrating control of basic grammatical structures/vocabulary/syntax
Ø Assessment: feedback on listening sheets (not graded)
ILO3 : Write emails in real life situations linked to student life while demonstrating control of basic grammatical structures/vocabulary/syntax, and email etiquette
Ø Assessment: feedback on students’ written work (not graded) and email exam (graded)
ILO4 : Hold a simple telephone conversation while demonstrating basic telephoning skills, appropriate register, vocabulary and grammar
Ø Assessment: feedback on students’ recorded conversations (not graded)
The final exams will take place on December 8 and 15. You will have one grade for Oral Comprehension and one grade for the Email Exam.
