Email to US Scientist

E-mail writing in pairs (Drop on Moodle by May 17):

Write an email to a US scientist of your choice to present your innovative idea for INSA and ask them to come and take it forward here in France. You need to:  

• refer to the geopolitical context and to the INSA campus & buildings;
• explain the problem you are trying to solve and the main purpose/advantages of your innovation;
• how your innovation would work and what remains to be done (how you could work together).

Instructions:

• Make sure you give sufficient details about your project (see structure above)
• Structure your email correctly using the right email writing methodology
• Use the right level of formality with appropriate email writing vocabulary
• Use vocabulary from the documents, including phrasal verbs, nouns/adjectives from the exercise + vocabulary from the article
• Use the present perfect
• Check the overall quality of your English
